Dear All,
We are going to celebrate our Bangla Noboborsho 1419 on June 02, 2012 at Rose City Islamic Centre. During the whole day program. One of the attractive and fun event is Mela. Huge seccess of last year Mela inspired us to organize the Mela again this year with much better shape. We have already got cordial responses from our fun loving community members to participate and to rent stall/booth to sell their gooods and services.
There will be different kind of items in the Mela. Some proposed items are:
- Readymade Garments
- Cosmetics and Jewelry
- Foods (Biryani, Polao, lunch packet)
- Homemade Snacks (Pitha, Sweets, Jhal Moori, Haleem, Chatpati, Samosa, Puri, Rolls, Piaju, Beguni etc.)
- Henna Tattoo and many more
If anybody has any idea other than above (promotional or display) please come forward and contact any of the executive member of BCA-WE.
We have very limited number of stalls/booth. So, please book your stall asap with any of the mela committee members. Each stall/booth is $10.00 to compensate the rental charge.
Thanks

The Brown Canada project is a community-led history project that seeks to document, create and share South Asian histories in Canada.
Over the next two months, we will be doing an eight-city tour in Ontario of our youth-led creative expressions (poetry, spoken word, plays, skits) dedicated to exploring histories of the Komagata Maru as well as our own personal histories. Following these creative expressions, we will be facilitating a community dialogue with our audience to have a critical discussion about our histories, and the implications of omitting our history.
Our 3rd stop on this tour is Windsor!
